stFinding high school resources that aren’t “childish” but still spark a bit of joy is a constant battle in my house. As a homeschool mom to a ninth grader, I know that if an assignment looks like a dry worksheet from thirty years ago, my daughter is going to check out before she even reads the title. The core of this resource is about moving beyond simple definitions and into the realm of true literary application. I wanted to give our teens a way to see how specific linguistic “ingredients” actually change the chemistry of a story as they write it.
